Philosophy

I have always been interested in philosophy and hold a Master’s in Philosophy from the University of Bern. I keep being involved in philosophical work in personal settings and as part of my volunteer work as a visitor of the palliative care unit of the Engeried-Hospital in Bern. I may be available for philosophical counseling of laymen upon request. Use the contact form, and we can see how we can proceed. Apart from curiosity and patience, you don’t need to bring anything with you.
Topics that are of particular interest to me are:
- Autonomy and dependence
- Ethical and human duties and virtues towards others and oneself
- Interpersonal relationships, friendship, love and death
- Care relationships
- The relationship between body and mind
- Possibilities and limits of free will
In the submenu “Writings”, you will find a number of papers that I have written as part of my studies. Don’t be put off by the academic tone. If we were to embark on a philosophical journey together, we would stick to everyday language. And nature has given me one mouth but two ears. I will endeavor to meet you with two open ears accordingly.
